When a restaurant is in PRIXO but its menu is missing, you can fill that gap in seconds. Upload up to five photos of the menu — from a delivery app or a paper menu on the table — and PRIXO’s AI reads the dishes and prices and links them to that restaurant. The next person who searches for it sees a real menu instead of an empty page.

Why menus matter

A restaurant with no menu is hard to choose from. Menus turn a name on a map into something you can actually order from — they let other diners compare dishes, see prices, and decide before they open a delivery app. Every menu you add makes PRIXO more useful for the whole community in Riyadh.

When PRIXO asks you to add a menu

PRIXO surfaces the menu ask exactly where it’s needed:
  • In AI chat — if you ask about a restaurant that PRIXO knows but has no menu for yet, the assistant shows a mission card headed “You’re the first to document ‘s menu.” It confirms the restaurant is already verified and that only the menu is missing, then offers a one-tap button to add it.
  • From a price card or search result — restaurants with thin coverage show an Add menu action.
  • From the Contribute hub — choose Upload a menu to add a menu for any restaurant.
Starting from the chat or search card carries the restaurant with you, so the menu you upload links to the right place automatically.

Ask for a menu mission

If you’d rather be handed a gap to fill, ask the assistant for one. On the chat welcome screen, tap 🎯 Give me a mission: add a restaurant’s menu — or just tell the assistant you want a mission to add a menu. PRIXO picks a restaurant that’s still missing both its official website and its menu, and shows a Mission available card titled “Help document ‘s menu.” The card lays out the mission as a short checklist:
  1. The restaurant is already in the database — done for you.
  2. The restaurant’s official website — your first step.
  3. Add the menu — the final step.

Add the official website

Look up the restaurant’s official website (for example https://restaurant.com) and paste the link into the card, then tap Confirm official website. PRIXO checks that the link is valid before saving it. This step helps PRIXO point to a trustworthy source for the restaurant.

Continue to the menu

Once the website is saved, the card unlocks the menu step and carries the restaurant with you. Continue straight into the menu upload below — the menu you add links to that restaurant automatically.
Completing a mission earns points just like any other menu contribution.

How to upload a menu

Open the menu upload screen

Tap the Add menu button on the mission card, price card, or Contribute hub. If you’re not signed in, PRIXO asks you to sign in first so your contribution is saved under your account and earns points.

Add photos of the menu

Pick images from your device, paste one from the clipboard, or take new photos with the camera. You can add up to five images in one submission — a counter shows how many you’ve added, and each appears as a thumbnail you can remove before analyzing. Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP. A delivery-app screenshot or a clear photo of a paper menu both work, and adding several shots lets you cover a longer menu — one section per photo.

Analyze the menu

Tap Analyze the menu. PRIXO’s AI reads each image and extracts every dish with its price. This takes a few seconds.

Review and save

PRIXO shows the items it read. Check them, then save. Dishes that appear in more than one of your photos are merged, and items already in PRIXO are skipped automatically, so you never create duplicates — only genuinely new dishes are added.
The menu always attaches to a specific restaurant. If you open the upload screen without a restaurant attached, PRIXO can still read the menu, but it won’t be saved to the database until it knows which restaurant it belongs to. Starting from a restaurant’s chat or search card is the easiest way to keep that link.

Points you earn

Adding a menu is one of the most valuable contributions you can make, so it’s rewarded accordingly. PRIXO uses a tiered reward so the biggest gaps pay the most:
  • Being the first to document a restaurant’s menu earns the largest one-time bonus. This is awarded once per restaurant, to whoever gets there first.
  • A comprehensive update — adding many new dishes in one upload — earns a larger reward than a small edit.
  • A regular update — adding a few new dishes — earns a smaller reward and is capped per day, so the system stays fair and can’t be farmed.
Your menu is always saved even when no points apply — for example, if everything you uploaded already exists, or if you’ve hit the daily cap for small updates. The data comes first; the reward follows the contribution.
Point values can change as PRIXO tunes its rewards. The exact amount you earn for an upload is shown on screen after you save.

Tips for a good menu photo

Capture prices, not just names

A menu with prices is far more useful than dish names alone. Frame the shot so the price next to each item is readable.

Keep the text sharp

Avoid blur and glare. A straight-on, well-lit photo reads far more accurately than an angled or shadowed one.

One clear section at a time

If a menu is long, a focused photo of one section (mains, drinks, desserts) often extracts more cleanly than a tiny full-page shot.

Delivery screenshots work too

A menu screenshot from a delivery app is a perfectly good source — you don’t need a paper menu to contribute.
